Homemade Bird Feeder

Okay! First of all let me apologize about how long it's been since a blog post. Things have been super crazy because I got sick. I'm scheduled to go in for surgery next week, so I've been running around to all these doctor appointments. Add family drama into the mix and well I just haven't had the energy to do anything. Sorry!

I also want to thank everyone that is following us. You guys are great. Thanks for the comments and all the encouragement. You have no idea how much that means to me right now.

Now, with that said...

Here is my most recent project. A homemade bird feeder. Now, I'm not sure how I got this idea. It just came me. I knew I wanted to make one because my Grandmother was suppose to come down and visit in April. She likes to watch the birds and I thought this project would be a perfect surprise for her. Alas, plans fell through and she won't be here until sometime in September or October. Anyway, it's still a nice project and one I wanted to share with you guys. this project definitely leaves a lot of room for creativity, so just go with it.

Pizza Braid

So last weekend and the beginning of this week I was sick. So finally when I was able to eat real food instead of soup crackers and toast all I could think about was pizza for some reason, just craving pizza. Maybe because it was the farthest thing from soup, who knows.

Wednesday I thought about doing a pizza braid, never done one but it sounded good. I had to go to the store anyway for dish soap so I mean... that's the perfect excuse to pick up things that I need instead of doing the chicken that I already had thawed out right? "Honey I went to get dish soap and the pepperonis just jumped in my basket I swear!"

But I'm glad I did because Scarlett ate it up like she was a bottomless pit and my husband's exact remark was "This is so effing good" (and yes it was effing not the other word, toddler ears!)

Because it was last minute I didn't get the prettiest pictures, so bare with me.

St. Patrick's Day Wreath

Hi everyone! So, I'm always stumbling around the web looking for great inspiration for DIY projects. One of the most prominent things that I see are wreaths. Wreaths for Christmas. Wreaths for Halloween. Wreaths for spring, fall yada yada yada. Anyway, I'm pretty low on decor for St. Pat's Day. I mean the only thing I have is a bouquet of green flowers with shamrocks, two figurines, and some gold coins to go on my bar. It's pretty sad. My bar is always decked out for Halloween ( MY FAVORITE!!!) and Christmas. So I decided to make a St. Pat's Wreath...which is going on my front door and not my bar. (We're not going to talk about how this project was SUPPOSED to add decor to my bar. Or how my bar isn't actually a bar but more like a bistro table that holds TV trays. But I digress.) This wreath turned out really cute and I was extremely happy with it considering it was the first wreath I've ever made. The pictures, however, are not. I'm still playing around with my camera and I've yet to create a lighting box, but I'll get there...eventually.

Easy St. Patrick's Day Garland

Megan and I are in Savannah GA, in case you guys didn't know we have a huge St. Patrick's day celebration here, like 3rd in the nation. So we decided to dress up the office just a little bit.

We found this site. And since we had everything needed, we decided to make one.
