Easy St. Patrick's Day Garland

Megan and I are in Savannah GA, in case you guys didn't know we have a huge St. Patrick's day celebration here, like 3rd in the nation. So we decided to dress up the office just a little bit.

We found this site. And since we had everything needed, we decided to make one.

You will need green yarn, green pipe cleaners, and a crocheting needle.

First this to do is to crochet a chain the length that you want your garland to be. If you aren't sure how to crochet it's super simple to do the chain. Here is a video to teach you how.

Next make your shamrocks. Start by putting one end of the pipe cleaner between your index and middle finger. Wrap it around the index finger, take it across the front of the next finger then wrap it around the back, follow suit with all 4 fingers.

Then pull it off so it looks like this.

Then bend two loops over to make the clover. I tucked the "stem" through one loop and twisted it so that they all stayed together but this probably isn't a crucial step.

Then just weave your clovers on to your yarn and you've got a lucky garland!

This would be a great craft for kids to do too. It took no time at all and was made with things we already have. Have fun with it!
